This weekend is going to be comprised of some highs and lows. First off, we are traveling tonight to Miami to go see this tomorrow:
bang music festival . I'm most excited to see Gnarls Barkely, Theivery Corporation and of course, Duran Duran. Duran x 2 was actually the first concert I ever attended when I was about 13, so it will be interesting to see them 20-something years later. I'm sure they are much, much older now :) Anyhow, the concert goes on for 13 hours - starts at 11 am and last 'til midnight - crazy, huh??
Secondly, my Grandma's church is honoring my late Grandpa with a memorial on Sunday. So, after the music festival, we are getting up at the wee hours of the morning to drive across the state. I can't believe it has already been a year since Grandpa passed. Here's a pic of Kyle and I and my grandparents taken in 2003:

Duran Duran.... I wanted to see them SO badly when I was a teen but never did. Even now, as an adult, I still love their music. Hope you had a great time.
I am sure the memorial for you grandpa will be beautiful. That first year is always the toughest, or at least that's been my experience.

LOVE Duran Duran!!! Never got to see them in concert )0: Sold out in 30 minutes here in Phoenix a few years ago.
Friend saw them recently and said it was pretty good, but don't expect the originals.... they ARE older!! Said they sounded pretty much the same, though.
Hope you figure out the job stuff. Man does IF put life in limbo. Always planning and waiting and then, nothin. I'll have to go back and read through your posts to see where you are on the adoption front. We're just starting the foster/adopt process and I'm completely into the adoption blogs now!
